A Pennsylvania dairy has cut ties with 11 out of 85 of it’s milk suppliers. Galliker’s Dairy had been running on a surplus for years, incurring significant financial losses after being unable to sell all the milk produced by its suppliers.
By eliminating 13 percent of its suppliers, Galliker’s Dairy will now produce 2 million fewer gallons of milk this year. It currently produces 14.5 million gallons.

Lady Gaga has teamed up with Starbucks to spread a message of kindness with four colorful, vegan drinks. Now through June 19, Starbucks will donate a portion of every purchase from the Cups of Kindness collection to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
“We’re healthier and happier when we live our lives with compassion and our communities are stronger when we treat one another with generosity and respect,” said Lady Gaga. “Born This Way Foundation and I are so excited to partner with Starbucks to help inspire positivity and love through the Cups of Kindness collection.”

Eco-friendly algae-based shoes are hitting the market in July. VIVOBAREFOOT, a London-based footwear company, has partnered with BLOOM, a performance-based materials manufacturer in Mississippi, to create a lightweight adventure shoe that will clean the waterways and reduce the shoe industry’s carbon footprint.
The shoes are made from algae harvested from freshwater sources like lakes, rivers and pond around the world that are susceptible to algal blooms – aquatic formations that are dangerous to drinking water and wildlife.
