18% of the U.S. population suffers from an anxiety disorder. You probably know someone who has one, maybe it’s you. In today’s fast-paced, competitive, and negative world, it’s no wonder so many of us are stressed out and anxious.
Anxiety follows me everywhere. I’m always thinking ahead of the moment I am in right now or dwelling on situations that shouldn’t get a second thought. I get irritable and snap at my poor husband for no reason. Even when relaxing on the couch, I am restless and can’t stop moving. James counted one time and I moved 12 times in a minute.

Thank you for joining me again this week as I share even more life-changing pieces of knowledge I’ve gained in the past two years that I’ve been vegan. I’m coming up on my two year Veganniversary and thought I’d share a few of the many things I’ve learned in the past 730 days.
Respect the decisions of others
Everyone is on their own journey and you can’t expect them to jump on the cruelty free bandwagon just because you did. On top of that, every vegan is on their own journey. Some eat honey, some wear leather they bought in their past life, some are fully raw and environmentally conscious. We should accept where everyone is in their journey because we all have a unique purpose.

Veganuary is the time of year when adventurous non-vegans commit to the vegan lifestyle for 31 days. Why is it so popular? The vegan diet has fantastic detoxifying benefits. Also, many people set a New Year’s Resolution in January and almost 70% of those resolutions involve staying fit or losing weight, which veganism has been known to support.
Even if it is only temporary, it’s best to do some research about the vegan diet before you jump right in. The way I see it, you’ve got 31 days to explore all that veganism has to offer so you better make the most of it.
